Operation: Middle Eastern Restaurant (New Opening)
Location: West End
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 pa & KPI Bonus
Working Hrs: 5 Days
New stylish Restaurant Independent Opening set to launch late spring 2018 in the heart of the West End.
Concept: 7-day operation offering authentic, innovative cooking inspired by the Persian Gulf / The Levant – over £0.5m project with vibrant open plan interior design; 80 seats and high spec open kitchen.
Commitment to sourcing the very best ingredients from artisan UK and International suppliers; all made in house on a daily basis. All day high-end casual dining from breakfast until late. Further openings planned based on success of this London venture.
Opening duties: responsible for the operational set up; team hiring and training; implementation of systems and procedures, organising suppliers and sourcing equipment; marketing & PR
Working closely with the Consultant Chef & Owners, responsibilities include:
Overseeing the daily smooth running of the Restaurant operation
Managing and organising the team (15+ FOH), ensuring the delivery of exceptional levels of service to ensure the ultimate guest / dining experience
Purchasing and stock control, account management
Team recruitment, training & development, rotas and payroll, personnel files, appraisals, etc
Daily admin and banking, weekly figure reporting, compliance and local authority relations
Responsible for sales reporting and forecasting, budgeting and monthly P&L, delivering consistently on standard KPI targets incl. profit and sales, cost control re: purchasing & labour budgets
Management meetings; guest relations; marketing (promotions, PR and marketing, website content and social media)
This role would suit a ‘hands on’ General Manager with an autonomous management style coupled with proven experience gained ideally in a high end London casual dining operation.
A passionate, standards orientated Manager with great people skills and personality coupled with good initiative, organisation & energy levels.
Salary & Benefits
Start salary: £50,000 – £55,000 basic pa plus KPI related bonus
Permanent contract subject to standard 6-month probationary period: regular salary reviews (performance / sales dependent); courses as required; 28 days paid annual leave; workplace pension option; staff discounts; FAM trips & team excursions
Approx. 50 – 55 hrs p wk / 7 to 8 shifts over 5 days incl. Weekends
February 2018 start / able to accommodate notice
