Situated in the quiet village of Port Appin, Argyll, on the shores of Loch Linnhe and surrounded by the spectacular raw beauty of the magnificent West Coast of Scotland is The Pierhouse Hotel & Seafood Restaurant.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Chef de Partie who is ambitious, passionate and creative and who can work closely with our talented team of Chefs up to 2 rosette standard.
We pride ourselves on the freshness & quality of our seafood and local meats, sourcing virtually all of our produce locally. We strive to offer our guests something different - a personal and relaxed family atmosphere, stunning location and deliciously fresh seafood and game.
The Chef de Partie will play a crucial role in controlling kitchen costs and enhancing productivity as well as making sure the food produced is to an exceptionally high standard of both quality and presentation.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within quality hotels and restaurants, be an existing Chef de Partie, be someone who has the desire, motivation and passion to learn and increase their knowledge and experience. Crucially, you must be a team player and be prepared to help the team maintain cleanliness of the kitchen even at the end of a busy shift.
You should be business minded, autonomous and results driven. You should also have good managerial and financial skills and be current in all health & safety requirements and be driven and focused on first class standards across every aspect of your areas of the operation. It is also essential that you have shown loyalty and longevity throughout your career and have excellent planning and organisational skills and be consummately professional at all times.
Personal presentation and the highest of standards both in and out of the kitchen are crucial.If you are looking for the bright lights then you need to think again. In return, the business offers an attractive salary of between £19 - £21k depending on experience, plus good gratuities, friendly working environment, comfortable staff accommodation and most importantly a fantastic challenge for a talented chef looking to get ahead in their chosen career.
Ideal start is January 7th 2018. Partners who are either Front of House or Housekeepers will be considered.
Quality Single / double accommodation in a shared house is available at a rate of £40 per week per person.
