Rök Restaurants has just announced the opening of their 3rd restaurant and are looking for budding CDP level chefs to work at their original smokehouse in Shoreditch. With prospects to grow with the young brand.
Applicants must be highly motivated, clean and professional minded chefs. With a good knowledge of European food and a hunger to learn new skills.
Rök is a Scandinavian influenced restaurant that cooks over open wood flames, with a strong focus on preservation. Fermentation is a huge part of Rök and you will be trained on fermenting vegetables, fermenting sugar to alcohol to make low alcohol beverages and culturing Dairy for homemade yoghurts and cheeses. There will also be butchery training at our larger Islington site. Service is conducted around a wood fired grill and chefs will be train to cook over open flame.
Any prior experience with these techniques would be beneficial but not essential. What is a essential is a reliable chef with a great work ethic.
