We are looking for an experienced team member to join the housekeeping department to assist the head housekeeper to organise a small team to ensure the hotel is cleaned to set standards, maintaining and improving on these standards with staff training and development. We have 50 bedrooms with various different standards of rooms from budget rooms to suites, all with different cleaning requirements. Housekeeping are responsible for the cleanliness of the whole hotel from the external entrance, back of house areas, event rooms and bedrooms. The successful candidate should have existing supervisory experience already in a similar sized hotel or larger, have proven track record of leading a team and running the department in the absence of the head housekeeper. The candidate will understand various cost controls such as cleaning time per room and cost per room and assist management to meet these targets along with general departmental health & safety compliance. This position will be on a contracted basis - 100 - 120 hours per 4 week month. This will be agreed on employment. The position will include regular weekend working based on a 5 days from 7 basis.
