Assistant Manager for Hotel in Argyll
A luxury hotel on the West Coast of Scotland is looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager to join their established team. This hotel is very much at the luxury end of the market having consistently received 4 AA stars and 3 AA Rosettes for its restaurant.
The hotel is small with only 11 bedrooms and a reputation for having warm and personalised for every guest. The team are long standing and guests come back year on year. The restaurant is at the centre of this hotel and is a real destination restaurant with a focus on the very best Scottish produce.
You will be reporting directly into the General Manager and have a Duty Manager below you and so communication skills are paramount. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the hotel and must have a keen eye for detail and understand the importance of maintaining quality throughout.
Duties to include
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations
- Effectively manage and motivate team
- Achieve and maintain the highest standards
- Deliver excellent service to all guests
To be successful in this role you much be someone who sees hospitality as a career and have a passion for providing excellent service. Ideally you will have significant experience at a supervisory or management level and be ready to progress in your career. Due to the emphasis on the food in this hotel, it would be advantageous if you had a strong Food and Beverage background.
There is an opportunity to live in with this position as there is a self-contained apartment attached to the hotel for a greatly reduced monthly rent. Due to the relatively remote location of the hotel, it would be beneficial if you were a driver.
You must be fluent in verbal and written English for this position.
