**Teaching Assistant - Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)

** Secondary PRU- North West London - Teaching Assistant for 11-16 year olds with BESD/EBD

**Long Term teaching assistant post-until July 2018

**In Class Teaching Assistant

**Suitable for Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to become a secondary school teacher through School Direct Training Programme in the future

** Supportive Senior Leadership Team and excellent behaviour systems in place

The role is working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in North West London that caters for young people who have been excluded from mainstream education due to presenting with challenging behaviour.

The provision is now seeking a teaching assistant for a long term role starting this month.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be working in a centre that provides an alternative to mainstream education for 11-16 aged pupils whose needs have not been met within mainstream provision. These pupils are referred by the local authority, mainly due to being excluded from school due to presenting with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (EBD/BESD).

If you have experience teaching in a PRU or similar environment as a teaching assistant and want to be part of an exceptional team of professionals then please apply immediately. The centre provides an excellent environment for maximising the opportunities of its pupils, boasting good relations with many clubs, agencies and work-based learning providers.

Previous youth work or learning mentor experience is beneficial to this role. Most importantly you should be a confident teaching assistant who is passionate about working with BESD learners and consider that you can make a difference to their lives.

If this teaching assistant role sounds interesting and you have the relevant experience then we would like to hear from you.

Please send us your CV immediately for consideration.
