Learning Support Assistant (LSA) required for the SEN department of a secondary mainstream school in South London to start immediately for long term contract that will run through till the end of the academic year.

**SEN Learning Support Assistant – MLD/ASD/BESD
**Would suit an experienced Learning Support Assistant or recent Graduate with knowledge of Special Needs.
** Mainly Non-Classroom Based Learning Support Assistant
** Learning Support Assistant at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
** Learning Support Assistant contract until July 2018
**1:1 and small group interventions 
** Supportive SENCO to develop your knowledge and skills as a Learning Support Assistant
** Successful Ofsted rated “Good” Comprehensive in South London – ideal environment for motivated Learning Support Assistant to gain SEN and school experience.

This Learning Support Assistant role will involve working 1:1 and doing small group intervention work with 11-16 students mostly within the SEN department of the school. There will at times be some requirement to support 1:1 in class, but this role is predominantly based in the SEN department in the school. 

The students have a variety of needs but as a Learning Support Assistant you will mainly be working with learners who struggle in the main school due to emotional and behavioural difficulties (BESD). Other SEN needs you will be working with include mild autism (ASD) and Speech and Language difficulties. 

We are looking for a strong Learning Support Assistant with previous experience working with secondary learners with Special Education Needs to join the SEN team starting immediately.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will be joining a highly regarded secondary school that has been judged to be good in all areas. The ideal SEN Learning Support Assistant will have previous experience working in a secondary school doing 1:1 or group work with students presenting with challenging behaviour. You should be a self-assured individual who likes working as part of a team.
