Our fully accredited Sleep Training course is ideal for nannies, maternity nurses and child-carers aiming to gain additional knowledge or to specialise in sleep training as a part of their career. Completion of this course will provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to help resolve the most common sleep issues in children. Working as a sleep training professional you will be engaging with parents in urgent need of advice and support, with a flexible approach to providing the parents with the right techniques and advice for their baby or child in a comfortable environment. Considerate and effective communication will quickly result in recommendations from your clients. This course is also ideal for existing sleep training consultants to update their skills with the latest developments and practices.
The importance of sleep/common sleep problems in babies, toddlers and young children including:
Hunger, Growth spurt, Being overtired, Constipation, Teething, Blocked nose, Poor weight gain, Feeding problems, Immunisations.
Jaundice, Colic, Reflux, Silent reflux, Allergies
Common sleep problems:
Change of sleep patterns, Parental Stress, Accidental parenting/props, Attention seeking behaviour, Room temperature, Insomnia, Nightmares, Night terrors, Accidental parenting/props, Attention seeking behaviour
Sleep stages / sleep cycles:

We require candidates to have at least 2 year’s baby experience (including newborn experience) before attending this course.
