We are currently working with an outstanding mainstream school in Southwark. They are recruiting a full time teaching assistant to cover sickness. Working hours are 8.15am - 4.15pm.

This secondary school is highly-regarded in the borough, and was recently built with impressive facilities. There are statemented pupils in each year group, who are supported by enthusiastic and experienced teaching staff who make full use of the school's well-equipped facilities, allowing them to give students the appropriate level of support to enable them to succeed academically and socially.

This particular position will require you to work 1:1 with a student who has physical difficulties. As well as supporting in lessons, you will also assist at break times. Some personal care will be required, therefore manual handling training is a must. With guidance from the SENCO you will work in partnership with class teachers to provide adaptations and materials for the student where needed.

They are looking for committed members of staff, who are familiar with school settings and available for the duration of the booking.

The school is accessible from a mainline station and is served by a number of buses.
