Full Time 39 hours pw + overtime
Our client, is a family owned business specialising for over 200 years in the spinning of quality yarns and supplying, lambs wool, cashmere, camel hair and angora products; both to the UK and worldwide knitwear industries.
The successful applicant will need to be ‘hands on’ and as well as controlling the stock you will be expected to complete deliveries utilising a 7.5 tonne lorry and experience operating a FLT is essential.
·Collecting and delivering stock
·Load and unload lorries
·Allocate and move stock around the warehouse/factory
·Check packing lists from customers
·Weigh and check off incoming stock
·Label and move stock into relevant area within the warehouse
·Maintain and record stock levels using excel
·Record spinning waste and pass information to colour room
·Pull blends when required from various locations
·Visit and purchase cash and carry items when required
·Keep warehouse clean and tidy
·Complete vehicle checks and keep fleet up to date with checks
·Monitor skip levels and arrange delivery/collection
·Stock taking twice yearly
Skills and experience
·Experience of working in a busy warehouse environment
·Previous experience operating 7.5 tonne and FLT counterbalance essential
·Ability to demonstrate a high level of leadership and interpersonal skills
·Take a flexible approach to prioritising work load and demonstrate excellent problem solving skills within a fast paced environment
·Knowledgeable in Health, Safety and Environment management
·Good communication skills
·Experienced multi drop driver
·Ability to use initiative at work
·Keen eye for detail
·Strong IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
