Deputy Fundraising Manager
Join World Vision as a Deputy Fundraising Manager and expect high rates of pay, ongoing development through training courses on coaching, mentoring and leadership and a permanent contract after 6 months. World Vision are looking for 2 Deputy Managers to lead and manage Face to Face Fundraisers on their unique 'Journey of Hope' Child Sponsorship experience.
World Vision operate the world's largest international child sponsorship programme, and work closely with communities around the globe to tackle the root causes of poverty. Their 'Journey of Hope' exerience has changed the way Face to Face fundraising is delivered to the public and how it is perceived. World Vision build a replica of a hut you might find in Sierra Leone illustrating the basic living and sleeping conditions that is a harsh reality for some of the most vulnerable children and communities around the world. The leaky thatched roof that lets water in when it's raining brings this harsh reality to whoever steps foot inside the hut. The priviledged outside world just falls away once a potential donor steps inside. The Journey of Hope has been so successful that another one is being built so expect to work with a successful team who are used to seeing very high donor retention rates.
The 'Journey of Hope' experience is built in a space for 5 weeks at a time and will be located in and around London. It's immersive and creates a lasting impact on the potential donor. We move around London to raise the brand awareness of the charity so we can increase the number of children being sponsored.
You will help manage a team of up to 13 Fundraisers who are made up of like-minded people, with a range of ages and backgrounds and interests. As a Deputy Manager you'll be part of this revolutionary experience so a background in fundraising or direct sales is a must.
You will coach and lead a team of Fundraisers on site and you'll gain leadership and training experience.
You will be ensuring your team meets their targets and you'll be leading by example by showing your team how to reach the Child Sponsorship target yourself.
World Vision foster a culture of development so you will be encouraged to attend a number of training courses to improve your leadership and coaching skills.
