Head Chef for new opening Pub/Restaurant
This lovely pub/restaurant is located in a small affluent village on the Berkshire/Surrey borders and just a 45 minute train ride to central London. The menu will be classic British pub/restaurant. We’ll use local suppliers, cook 90% of the menu fresh daily and aim to serve circa 400 to 500 covers per week. This is a great opportunity for an experience head chef to make a mark or for an ambitious 2nd chef who is ready for more responsibility. As head chef you’ll be wholly involved with the group owners in creating new menus, dealing with suppliers and setting up the kitchen. You’ll need to demonstrate you have the necessary drive and energy required for a new opening, that you’re fully conversant with all Health, Hygiene & Food Safety regulations, that you have good organisational skills, can take charge & direct a small team and that you remain calm when under pressure. Accommodation is available if required; The position could suit couples as we’re also recruiting for front of house.
