Full Time Sous Chef (Possible Live In)
We are a traditional pub/restaurant & 10 bedroom hotel based in Stow on the Wold in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. We serve and prepare fresh seasonal food 7 days a week. Our customers expect the best and our reputation demands we give the best from Back of House through to the Front of House. We want you to posses the skill, passion and dedication to be part of that.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, open minded and positive Sous Chef who will be expected to work with & support the head chef, kitchen team and the business. You must be friendly, have initiative & common sense and be able to work confidently within a team and set a good working example to all.
Overall responsibilty of the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence
Supporting our Head Chef
Cooking and presenting dishes to the company spec
Work with the team & keep sections fully stocked and prepared for service
Hygiene upkeep across the board
Assisting the team
Team training & development
There may be times where a little bit of elbow grease up may be required through the quiet periods of business alongside your usual duties if required.
We are a team here and we all work together and muck in where needed.. Both FOH and BOH.
Pay - up to £25k + Weekly Tips. To be discussed according to skill and experience
Holiday - Standard 28 days
Working week 5 days out of 7
