Activities Co-ordinator - care home
Stainsbridge House is a long-established, 46 bed care home near the centre of Malmesbury. We care for older people living with dementia and we are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Activities Coordinator to join our care team.
As our activities coordinators you will organise and oversee social activities and events for our residents so that Stainsbridge House is an interesting and stimulating place to live. You will work with our care team so that everyone can get involved in activities and you will consult with our residents and their families to identify their interests and their likes, dislikes and abilities. You will also help us to maintain social care plans and an activities diaries for each resident.
Skills and Experience:
Relevant experience of this type of work is obviously helpful but your personal qualities are just as important. You will be energetic, enthusiastic, organised and a good communicator.
A background in care, social work or entertainment would be ideal but this post might also suit people with a teaching assistant background.
We will support your professional development in a way that is beneficial for both you and our residents.
Part time / flexible post (approx. 15-20 hours p.w.).
Work pattern includes some weekends.
Flexible shift times - some mornings, some afternoons etc.
28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
