Part-time Junior IT Support Technician


Our client is a one of the largest and oldest friendly societies in the UK and an opportunity has arisen for a Junior IT Support Technician to join their Head Office IT team in Manchester.


The role of Junior IT Support Technician is for a 6 month contract initially, 3 days per week Monday to Wednesday, with the possibility of becoming a full time role.

The Role

Our client is currently looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to provide technical support to their branches across the UK and to their main office based in Manchester. You will be responsible for:

* Providing 1st line support to users both in the office and at remote branches over the phone and via remote access software.

* Keeping an up to date record of support calls.

* Troubleshooting general computer issues based on information given by users.

* End to end incident management.

* Escalating the call to 2nd line when required.

* General office administration.

The Person

To be successful in the role of Junior IT Support Technician, you need:

* A commitment to delivering impeccable customer service.

* Sound troubleshooting skills.

* A good understanding of Microsoft Office.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10

* The ability to learn new skills.

* To be proactive and enthusiastic with a can do approach.

* To be committed to working as a team, for the team.

* Experience of HTML/CMS system

For the role you will receive a salary of £17,308 per annum pro rata. There will also be opportunities for training and development.
