Senior Course Adviser / Sales Senior Excecutive
Sales Superstar Opportunity of a Lifetime.
Are you dependable and resourceful? Do you have lots of energy, intuition and initiative? Do you dress well and have basic computer skills? Are you willing to engage customers, train for continuous improvement, build and lead your own sales team in the next 6 to 12 months? We are a private tuition provider based in London and we need a sales superstar. We’ve achieved rapid growth over the last three or so years and we want someone to play a leading role in taking us to the next level. Someone who is well-spoken, well-presented and with a very good standard of English. The position is for a Senior Course Adviser – a top quality and experienced professional who is now looking to lead a sales team. The position mainly entails sales, but there is also the possibility of aspects of marketing. The successful candidate will be selling from a consultative point of view - it’s not about hard selling, but about positioning the company as a high-end education provider for teenagers. Our target audience is parents who have aspirations for their children and who are willing to put their money where their mouth is. We have been successfully selling our high-end services to these parents for the last 14 years and there is a growing demand.
The role pays a basic salary of between £25k – £30k per annum and a very healthy uncapped commission structure. Candidates who are successful and work hard can look to achieve OTEs in excess of £35 – £40k per annum within the first 12 to 24 months of employment
Your primary job will be to follow up on prospective parents by presenting the courses we offer to them and help to answer questions they may have. You will be looking to book consultations, a visit or convert them into paying customers. You will be doing this mainly via telephone calls, but this position does not include cold calling. Prospective parents have contacted us previously to express an interest in our services and we are following up with them.
We provide a service that people want and there is no need for hard selling. There are abundant resources to back up the sales team, but excellent performance is expected. We only require people whose references can be verified and these do not have to be sales-related.
There will be the flexibility to work between 4 and 5 days per week, including about 20 Saturdays a year (during school term time). The work is mostly at our office in EC1, but there may be the flexibility to work from home on some days after an initial training and familiarisation period, and subject to being the right kind of person we consider suitable to the task required.
What we do
Excel in Key Subjects provides extra tuition classes, including Saturday classes, revision courses during school holidays, and other out-of-school tuition-related services for teenage students who want to improve their performance in school and achieve higher exam grades at GCSE and A-level. Our target audience is parents of teenagers. There is a strong ethical dimension to the service we provide and the manner in which we market and sell our products and services. There is a very high demand for our services and we have achieved excellent examination results for our students for 14 years.
There are opportunities and scope for learning in this position. Each aspect of the job has many resources available in order to gain the knowledge required and also the tools for implementing the tasks.
We are looking for someone who will grab the bull by the horns and use the resources that are available to achieve outstanding success. In the process of doing that, you will also be able to develop as an individual. You will be fully supported and encouraged to succeed, but this is not a job for moaners, whingers and complainers.
If you are aspirational, you will enjoy this position and you will get to build very good relationships with some very nice people - the parents of teenagers. It can be very rewarding in every way, as you get to see young people succeeding while also having very good working conditions and a jolly good income!
