Are you looking for a little bit of excitement and a change from your usual routine?  If so, then the G4S Events Team would like to hear from you in relation to our current vacancies at The Grand National 2018, which will be held at Aintree Race Course, Liverpool on the 12th, 13th and 14th of April.

You do NOT need an SIA License to work at this event, as the role is one of a customer care nature, nor do you need any previous experience, as full training will be provided.

In addition to working at The Grand National in April, there will also be opportunities for you to work at some of the most prestigious events in Liverpool and across the UK in the New Year.

These opportunities could see you working at large scale events such as Manchester City FC and its 5* Training Facilities, The Golf Open Championship, Download Festival, British Summertime - Hyde Park Festival, football and cricket matches as well as all race meetings at Aintree and Haydock Racecourses.

Role Responsibility:

As a customer care event steward you will be helping in all manner of ways including, but not limited to:

  • Ticket checking
  • Directing patrons
  • Crowd monitoring
  • Hospitality and car park stewarding
  • Providing general guidance to the public.

"My job varies from event to event, every shift is different. The best part of the job for me is the other people that I get to work with, everyone is cool. We get to mix with other employees from other offices and of course the customers. You get to chat to lots of people and it is a constant learning curve for me as I'm constantly learning new things from the interaction with different people from different countries and cultures" Aydarous

Our staff provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff at an event.

The Ideal Candidate:

You must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Ideally you will have customer service experience (although this is not essential, as training will be provided) with a common sense approach to working with the public. You will need to demonstrate a friendly and approachable yet professional attitude through excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Flexibility is also important as shifts can fall on evenings and weekends.
