Team Leader - East Devon Supported Living
United response is a charity that supports and campaigns for people with Learning Disabilities. We are currently seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated person to join our professional team as team leader within our East Devon and Exeter Supported Living services.
East Devon and Exeter supported living offers personal care and enabling services to vulnerable adults in their own homes. The service is diverse, and as well as providing excellent support with day to day care we also support people into work opportunities and with further education. Support packages are tailored to meet the needs of each individual and range from just a few hours per week for some to 24/7 support. We have a focus on active support and we are committed to supporting individuals to achieve their own personal goals and aspirations. We encourage and support the use of assisted technology and the use of multi-media to ensure that the people we support have as much control over their lives as possible.
As a Team Leader you will support the registered manager in the day to day running of the services we provide, and provide supervisory support to the support staff team.
As a Team Leader, you will take your existing knowledge to the next level and will have increased responsibility in ensuring that the service we deliver is exemplary, whether that be in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support or completing necessary paperwork and reports. You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed.
The following are generally considered necessary requirements:
•Ideally possess NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification
•Knowledge and Awareness of Company policies and procedures, Fundamental Standards of Quality & Safety, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Person Centered Planning and SOVA.
•The ability to participate in the Out of hour’s rota.
• Possess Mandatory & Relevant training
•Good leadership, organisational and caring skills
•Good IT, written and verbal skills
