Business Development Administrator
This is a newly created role in one of the areas leading manufacturing businesses.
Your role will vary from day to day but duties could include:
Daily management of Customer receipts, and subsequent inputs and, tracking of changes (re-schedules, quantity changes, etc.)
Liaison with customer on acknowledgements, clarification on questions.
Tracking/monitoring of PO review & approval process (as may be required with QAD process).
Compiling and issuance of weekly & monthly open orders reports.
Management of forecast spreadsheets for Sales and Orders based on input from the Customer, and Sales team.
Maintain "quote-to-order conversion" and "rolling 12-month order intake" metrics, and other BD metrics as may be required.
Back-up support to BD team on Gate reviews (scheduling, scoring, database maintenance).
Price list maintenance.
Back-up support to BD team on CRM tool maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have
Experience and aptitude is more important than formal qualifications
Good Customer Rapport
Sales order management
Ability to work well as part of a team
Capability to multitask and to work to tight timescales under moderate pressure
Numeracy, literacy and accuracy
Ability to show initiative to be able to anticipate problems
Accomplished IT skills, including the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook
Effective organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks
Excellent communicator. Both verbal and written with appropriate interpersonal skills.
Problem solving skills and good understanding of external and internal customer requirements
previous experience working within a similar role within a technical or manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
