37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10.00 am – 18.00 pm

Pay £12.50-£14.00 per hour based on experience + PRP

Position in the organisation:

This is a temporary contract role reporting directly to the National in-house campaign manager/Deputy Campaign Manager 

Purpose of Post:

The role of the face-to-face (F2F) /Coach/Regional Manager  is to train and motivate the northern teams of UNICEF UK’s In-house F2F street fundraising programme, primarily based fundraising in town and city centres around Manchester/Leeds and supporting the training and development of fundraisers and team leaders. This is a new programme to be for 2017 which will play a key part in the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy 2017-2020.

By working closely with the national in-house manager and deputy F2F manger the northern team leader will be responsible for recruiting quality new supporters at a consistent sign up rate meeting key KPI’s.

The specific purpose of the post is:

1.Managing the performance of the teams in Manchester & Leeds, including supporting the development of fundraisers and team leaders
2.Ensuring adherence to IOF and UNICEF UK standards and compliance requirements especially site delineation and the IOF street rulebook.
3.Taking responsibility for teams performance, meeting targets and key KPI’s


•Responsible for the day-to-day running of the  in-house teams
•Plans and manages weekly diary setting meet times and arranging travel
•Ensures the northern teams are adhering to IOF rules as well as Unicef UK’s own in-house professional expectations
•Responsible for ensuring the team has the correct stock, uniform and that PDA’s are charged, also that all stock and devices are in good, presentable condition


•Responsible for working closely with the deputy campaign manager and the national in-house campaign manager to ensure the northern teams are motivated, organised and meeting targets


•Managing fundraisers as well as identifying and developing team leaders


•This role involves the post holder to work beyond the standard working hours as and when required. This includes being on call over some bank holidays and weekends.

Relevant Experience

Face-to-face fundraising experience preferably of street fundraising
Proven track record of training and developing fundraisers and team leaders
Knowledge of what the Coach/Regional Manager role entails and the day-today challenges a F2F teams face
