Key Tasks & Responsibilities
-Run shift when Head Chef is not in
-Maintain food consistency, trained in from the head chef.
-Preparing all meals to a high standard working closely with the HC.
-Assisting the Head Chef with training other team members on Service Parameters
-Accountability for kitchen operations: service times, preparation
-Create & cost specials
-Complying with, and maintain the Safer Food Better Business pack
-Following & developing open & close checklists for the kitchen
-Complying with EHO legislation:
-Labelling, Stock rotation, Safe cooking, Cooling and Storage
-Cleanliness across the entire space
-Assisting the Head Chef with training of staff and efficient supervising of Standards
-Implementing company culture and internal guidelines
-Effectively managing stock to minimise waste, save money & make money
-Dealing with deliveries and stock and order, stock rotation.
-Helping financial aspects of the kitchen: Achieving GP, waste management, portion control
-Enforcing health and safety regulations
-Looking after the physical assets of the business, locking doors et al.
