We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to lead our dedicated field based team.

We are looking for an exceptional individual, who can bring their unique set of skills and experience, to drive sales and develop a high performing sales team as we strive towards our next milestone of a stock market launch.

This Sales Manager role, reporting to the Director of Sales, is a fantastic opportunity to use all the skills and experience you have gained through your sales career to inspire, lead and develop a team of driven Business Development Managers.

We are an award-winning designer and manufacturer of specialist computing platforms.

As Sales Manager, you will manage the new business development team and drive continual sales growth to win business on our specialised computing platforms.

Main responsibilities:

  • Sales prospecting and lead generation - defining suspects, preparation of prospecting plans, delivery of plans.
  • Opportunity nurturing - forging relationships and actively identifying opportunities for potential prospects.
  • Sales Team Management - Setting team responsibilities, targets and objectives, managing performance, motivating, coaching, mentoring.
  • Team strategy - defining and executing strategy, budgeting, contributing to Marketing plans.
  • Quotations, Proposals & Target Management - manage own pipeline, prioritise sales opportunities, produce commercially viable proposals/quotations.
  • Account Management & Account Growth - maintain existing accounts, maximise accounts with growth potential. Achievement of sales targets.

Essential Criteria:

  • Currently or recently in a field sales management role with a minimum of 5+ years track record.
  • Proven experience in delivering own sales and team target in excess of £20million+.
  • Ability to develop and deliver the sales team strategy.
  • An understanding of the four platforms we specialise in - Tablets, Racks, Boxed Computers and IoT & Embedded.
  • A computing, electronics or technology related background.
  • Consultative/solution orientated B2B selling experience.
  • Solid experience of all round management of high performance sales teams.
  • Competent communicator and negotiator with proven ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Confident presenter, able to communicate and deliver a persuasive customer context value proposition.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Sector experience in multiple verticals including any of: Medical, Transport, Automation, Energy, Communications, Defence or similar.
  • Structured and progressive career growth.
