Exciting opportunity in an Art Gallery / Studio In Beckenham, for a creative, motivated and ambitious person. (20 minutes from Victoria Station)

We are looking for someone to join the small team to help with the day to day running of the studio, as well as assisting in the marketing and sales to help take the business to the next level.

Established 13 years ago, Rare creates limited-edition prints and originals to the trade, on our website, and through art galleries. Our main premises in Beckenham comprises of a gallery and art studio where all work is created. We are seeking the perfect candidate to assist the owner-artist with the smooth running of the business, and to help develop sales and to raise the profile of the Beckenham Gallery.

We are looking for someone with experience to bring to the table, as well as great new ideas and a passion to help us meet our goals for the business.  You will be hands-on and not afraid to get stuck in to range different jobs, whilst remaining focused and organised.


Processing orders

Managing workflow for production

Maintaining admin systems

Maintaining the presentation of the gallery

Assisting with marketing of the Beckenham Gallery

Arranging and marketing exhibitions and events both on an offsite

Managing social media

Managing Marketing calendar

Taking on projects to obtain new trade clients

Working on projects with the Manager of our Brighton Gallery


Genuine passion for the arts

The ability to work independently with strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.

Excellent client facing communication skills.

Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Confident working knowledge in computer and IT office skills. Photoshop and Microsoft Office knowledge.

A ‘hands on’ person preferably with exhibition experience

Sales and Marketing experience

Social Media marketing Experience

Web experience an advantage

This really is an exciting challenge for someone, to join our close-knit team and use your skills to make a real difference.

The ideal candidate will be looking to fully commit to a role which will ideally lead to a Management position.

Hours: 40 per week. 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

PACKAGE: £20,000-£25,000 with bonus structure
