Morgan Hunt are recruiting for X 5 Security Officer Support to work with an NHS in Nottinghamshire on a Temporary basis. The details of the job are below:

Security Officer Support

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours 12 hours shifts 7am to 7pm & 7pm to 7am 4 on 5 off

Pay Rate: £7.80 PAYE or £9.50 LTD Plus shift allowance £10.14 PAYE or £12.35 LTD

Location: Nottinghamshire

Duration: 3 months on going contract

All Security Officers must have a valid SIA Guarding (front line) license and the NHS will require a copy of most recent DBS check that you will have undertaken before we can utilise their services. Security Officers must have a high level of communication skill and it is desirable that you have a clean driving license and an in date NHS Management of Violence and Aggression certification (or similar).

It is expected that the staff shall provide their own uniform and stab resistant vest as it would be sized bespoke to the individual. The uniform is:

  • White shirt
  • Black trousers
  • Black woollen v neck jumper (optional)
  • Black clip-on tie
  • Black boots
  • Hi-vis vest
  • Hi-vis coat
  • Black stab resistant vest

Job summary: This role is responsible for providing a uniformed specialist service. Ensuring that patients, visitors and staff are given advice and provided with a safe and secure environment in line with legislation and particularly in emergency situations. This will include communication with emergency services.

The post holder will protect people and property, detecting and preventing crime including operating and controlling access and key control systems.

Fundamental to the role will be dealing with issues regarding challenging particular patients, visitors and staff, where difficult circumstances prevail (e.g. smokers, abuse issues, car park incidents and unwelcome visitors). The NHS has a policy and guidance for the prevention and management of violent and abusive behaviour, this role will involve aiding in applying the agreed techniques.

The post holder will be required to be able to work across any of the NHS sites and at any time when instructed, and also to conduct car parking management duties outside of typical office hours (e.g. attending to minor equipment faults / issues, patrols, responding to queries, receiving payments).
