Sales Manager – Groups and Events – The Ned

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our fantastic team here at The Ned. As a Sales Manager here you will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships and business levels relating to Group and Event business, within the domestic, European and international market place. This includes conducting customer sales calls, presentations, preparing and executing action plans, negotiating rates/contracts.

Key Duties:

• Manage and develop all related accounts within your responsibility.
• Maintain, prospect, independently solicit all ‘group & event’ related business booked direct with the hotel or through 3rd party agents for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events
• Conduct customer sales calls, presentations and ongoing account assessments to maximize revenue potential and harness key account relationships
• Within established parameters, quote and negotiate rates with customers, handle and follow up on RFP’s, Inquiries, Proposals and Contracts within the company guidelines
• Conduct site inspections, facilitate FAM trips, plan and execute sales trips and assume the responsibility as the direct sales contact within your market
• This role will include international sales trips where required

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience (minimum 3 years) in a face to face sales position with a proven sales record, preferably within an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook and Opera
• Knowledge and experience in using market tools appropriate to the role (e.g. CVENT, Starcite, Meeting Broker and web based delegate registration systems)
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
