SANDINISTA requires General Manager

Sandinista, named after the Clash's fourth album and Nicaraguan revolutionary party the 'Sandinistas', an enigmatic bar with a non-conformist spirit and complex ethos. Inspired by a love for music, food, drinks and Latin culture with the maxim ‘nuestra casa es tu casa’ – our home is your home.

We are recruiting now for General Manager to develop and grow the business.

The successful applicant will develop & maintain food, drink & service standards to a high quality. Lead from the front in terms of service, product quality and knowledge. Actively seek new opportunities to develop the business.

Job Purpose Summary

The ideal candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic; they should also have a passion for great products and a love of music. Experience in food led business essential.

The role will present the successful candidate with the opportunity for personal development and growth within the company.

They will maximise profitability through sales growth, controlled margins & cost controls.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Sales, Marketing and Service

Achieve weekly/monthly/annual sales and bookings targets

Weekly reconciliation and reporting of the business

Create and manage live social media content from site

Champion marketing and sales campaigns

Lead from the front in terms of service

Customer focus

Create and maintain high standards of bar and food service

Stock

Wet/dry/misc stock management

Achieve GP% targets

Minimise variances

Labour/rotas

Effectively manage recruitment, training and rotas to ensure service standards are adhered to

Labour targets are achieved through effective marketing

Staffing levels are appropriate to trade requirements

Team and Training

Motivate and lead team

Build a strong culture of team work

Train team across all levels of service to company standards

Succession planning in place through team development

Building Management

Keen eye for detail

High levels of cleanliness

Maintenance management
