Autism Wessex is a registered Charity that supports individuals with Autism and other associated difficulties, promoting their independence at home and in the community.
We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to work within our Community Team. You will play a vital role in supporting people in their own homes, focusing on each individual’s specific requirements and encouraging independence, enabling them to lead a fulfilling life.
The role of a Support Worker is incredibly rewarding however you will experience behaviours that are challenging. To Support you with this, shadowing and a comprehensive training programme will be provided. You’ll need to have a good sense of humour, patience and persistence, as learning new skills can take time. You will also be a great communicator, empathetic, enthusiastic, creative and reliable.

As you will be commuting, you must have a full driving license and access to your own car. You will be required to work unsociable hours including evenings, weekends and sleep ins.
