This role offers an exciting opportunity to work for a leading domestic violence charity that delivers expert and specialist services to women and families. Supporting the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA), you will benefit from the opportunity to increase your experience and knowledge of domestic violence. You will assist in empowering and supporting clients, ultimately helping them to regain control of their lives.
As a Support Assistant, you will assist the IDVA in providing low level advice and support in order to empower clients to flee abuse and violence. You will be responsible for collating and accurately inputting client data on to the in-house system, adhering to strict data protection policies. Furthermore, you will accompany clients to light-touch appointments with various local agencies and services, acting as an advocate when required. Additionally you will contribute to the sourcing of emergency accommodation for clients where needed, and provide information on welfare and benefit rights.
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody with support experience to work within a very rewarding capacity, whilst developing specialist experience in supporting clients fleeing domestic violence.
