The Merchant is Canary Wharf's most exciting destination for dinner and drinks and will be a hive of activity, playing host to regular beer tasting sessions and mixology classes. The Merchant offers a stunning array of craft beers, real ales, seasonal cocktails and inventive fresh food with a great breakfast offer, serving a range of tasty dishes as well as freshly squeezed juices. We are the go to place for after work drinks in Canary Wharf and host private events in our numerous pre bookable spaces.

The Merchant - Kitchen

The Merchant is a newly refurbished craft house and kitchen situated right on the water in stunning Canary Wharf. We enjoy a large dining and grazing space both inside and out as well as our feature events space known as ‘The Container’.

Our broad menu offers a selection of large plates but our focus is on sharing food; we offer a range of freshly prepared light bites and sharers so our customers can enjoy a tapas style dining experience.

Our kitchen is fitted with everything a chef could need to deliver the hundreds of stunning platters we produce each week. Our kitchen team of half a dozen proudly serve our top quality ingredients in our fast paced environment and love incorporating our exciting craft beers into the mix.

As Chef De Partie, you’ll be a key ingredient in the success of our busy kitchen, preparing and cooking delicious dishes with an emphasis on freshness.

We take food seriously at Fuller’s, so you’ll be working with fresh, seasonal, local ingredients – supporting other talented, experienced chefs to deliver a great experiences every time.

Life in the kitchen is hectic, but exciting. you’ll need strong food preparation skills and be confident in cooking the basics – and you’ll thrive under that constant time pressure. You will be supported by a team of experienced chefs to help you reach your full potential.

Most importantly, you’ll share our passion for fresh food. You’ll take great pride in helping to create tasty dishes, and you’ll relish the chance to learn about new ingredients, cooking techniques and putting your ideas into our dishes.

We will offer you training and support to gain your hygiene qualifications and build your knowledge of food but you’ll need people skills too. Chef De Partie is responsible for the junior roles in the kitchen - giving you a great chance to develop the leadership tendencies you need to advance your catering career.
