Care 1st has been providing community care in Bristol for over 13 years, Hillside is our brand new 8 flat supported living service which provides 24 hour care and support to 8 adults with a wide range of support requirements including learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues. The service is person centred with a focus on promoting and increasing independence for our customers.

We are currently recruiting for a number of full-time positions, however part-time applicants will be considered.

The Support Worker role will involve:

  • treat all the people we support with dignity, care and respect
  • keep records, including care plans, health records and logs
  • assist  clients with  washing and dressing and continence care when required
  • Assist clients with Shopping and housekeeping
  • plan and support activities in the home and community
  • Assist clients to attend appointments such as college, cinema, sports etc
  • adhere to schedules of work (rotas) as directed by Team Leader/Manager

Essential Skills for all Applicants:

  • Caring with an even temper and good sense of humour
  •  Commitment to providing care and support that puts the client first
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage own work
  • Possess a valid driving licence
