An opportunity has arisen for an assistant Bookkeeper to join our company based in Central London.


Main duties of tasks:

Experience of bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns

Ability to work accurately and to strict deadlines

Strong numeracy skills

Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounts 50 with debtors and creditors

Sending out invoices, chasing bad debts and reconciliation

Data entry of Invoices, receipts, remittances, cheques etc

Keep customer's billing up-to-date with new purchases and upgrades

Schedule and raise invoices according to customer contracts Client credit control - keeping up-to-date with customer debts

Reconciliation of credit cards

Dealing with payroll journals and any other month end journals

Dealing with client queries by email and telephone

Arrange payment of supplier invoices to our schedule

Reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts


Essential skills/qualifications -

A high level of computer skills necessary to operate Sage, Brightypay, Outlook, Excel, Word and web based platforms

Strong understanding of all aspects of bookkeeping

2-5 years of experience in the field

Ability to work on your own and to deadlines

Confident in Excel/Google Spreadsheets
