If you are an experienced and well organised Legal Cashier we would like you to join our head office in the pleasant market town of Ripon.


You will be self-motivated and able to complete your varied workload with minimum of supervision in a confident, flexible and reliable way with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Having a professional, diligent approach will ensure that deadlines are met and that the work is done to a high standard.


You will enjoy the challenge of the varied work and have the ability to process transactions accurately and quickly with your proficient keyboard skills. You will have a good working knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and be experienced in the use of Legal Accounts packages as well as knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.


Duties include the daily banking functions including bank reconciliations, the preparation of cheques, the processing of bank transfers, the input of client and office accounting transactions, including postings, and the control of designated client deposit accounts. Additional responsibilities include VAT returns, administration of the purchase ledger and petty cash.


We would also consider applicants with good accountancy experience wishing to train as a Legal Cashier. The salary is commensurate with experience.


 Office hours are Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 5.30pm and to 5.00pm Friday with 1 hour for lunch.
