Your new role

The role will be to provide administration assistance to the Reservations and Reception Manager.  The duties will include preparing confirmations, dealing with enquiries by telephone and email, ensuring customer emails are sent out in advance of stay, updating various website portals, assisting the Reception desk during busy periods, and ensuring offers are sent out on a regular basis and that the estate social media accounts current and up to date. 

The marketing department for the estate functions within the reservations office and a large part of the role will be understanding what the business can offer to our customers and ensuring that this is presented in an attractive light to drive revenue. 

The role will involve providing cover on the Reception Desk and Reservations Office for staff holidays. 

Hours of Work

The office and reception are open seven days a week from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm.  Shift work will be across this time period, rotas are prepared and given in advance.  The normal working patter for the role will be from a Tuesday to a Saturday 9.30 am to 5.30 pm however when covering holiday leave night shifts may be required. Hours of work will be 35/40 per week.

Required Experience

Previous experience of working on a reception desk or office would be an advantage but not essential.

  • Can work well in a team but also confident using their own initiative
  • Works well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and confident liaising with fellow staff members and customers
  • Must possess a working knowledge MS Word and Excel
  • An ability to show a flexible approach to work duties, and demonstrate an ability to look for improvements and implement them with other team members

Rate of Pay

£7.50 to £9.00 per hour based on skill level and experience
