Job Overview

To provide all guests with an efficient and friendly service throughout their stay, while
ensuring the department operates in an organised & effective manner. To be responsible
for making sure all guest charges are accurate & accounting procedures followed.

Job Responsibilities

• To be familiar with the day’s business, including arrivals, departures, special
requests, etc.
• To have thorough understanding of all requirements when checking-in and/or
checking-out a guest (confirm booking, length of stay, package etc).
• To offer guest services such as wake up call, newspaper, assistance with luggage
etc.
• Communicate hotel services to guests, i.e. opening and closing times and Food &
Beverage outlets, advise what amenities are available e.g. bar, dinner, snacks, etc.
• Handle all guest enquiries and complaints in a professional manner
• Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in accordance with
Company policy.
• To assist in the smooth running of the front office desk during your shift.
• Follow correct accounting procedures and ensure all guest charges are dealt with
correctly.

Knowledge Required

• Have knowledge of the Opera Front Office system.
• Knowledge of Jurys Inn product to offer exception service to guests.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Key local knowledge and the ability to assist guests with directions etc.

Key performance Metrics

• Demonstrating the 5 Jurys Inn values, friendly, genuine, consistent, willing and
positive when interacting with all guests.
• Awareness of TLC and having a positive impact on the department’s scores.
• Contributing to the achievement of the departments up selling targets through the
sales of upgrades, and vouchers etc.
• Strong attention to detail when dealing with guest charges and company invoices
to ensure mistakes are not made.
• Fulfilment of job skills checklist.
