At Advance we support people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities in their home or out in the community.

We are currently looking for Volunteers to play an essential role in assisting our Support Workers to enhance and enrich the lives of our customers. This could be a great opportunity for you if you are looking to gain experience within the Social Care sector or if you have spare time on your hands and would like to help make a difference.

Just committing to a couple of hours per week really does make a difference to someone who longs for friendships.

Do you have a caring and sensitive manner with a non judgmental approach?

Are you good at listening and communicating ?

Are you reliable and able to commit to a few hours a week ?

A satisfactory DBS check, references, medical and evidence of your right to abode in the UK will be required before you can commence volunteering with Advance. The costs of the DBS and medical (if required) will be covered by Advance.

Advance is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. You will be required to provide evidence of right to work. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be covered by Advance.

We offer training and support at Advance as we understand the importance of the role of a Volunteer.
