We are looking for a Service Centre Supervisor to assist, co-ordinate and deputise when applicable with the Service Centre Manager in the day to day running of, and the activities of our service centre.

Main Responsibilities will include:

* To supervise service centre employees and to allocate planned and unplanned work to all staff in the most efficient way.
* To monitor and control staff sickness and absence. Ensure holidays authorised correctly.
* When required, implement the disciplinary procedure with guidance from HR Manager and Line Manager, performing preliminary investigations and the production of associated reports.
* To control and manage overtime in line with Service budgets.
* To ensure adherence to QSP20 and policies outlined within the company Quality System and adhere to all other company policies and procedures.
* Supervise the ordering and control of spares and rental assets. Assist with inventory and rental asset stock take and ensure no parts or rental assets are taken out of the centre without the completion of the correct paperwork. Also ensuring all parts replaced under warranty are returned to H.Q in accordance with company policy.
* Complete time sheets and any other Service reports as instructed by Service Centre Manager.
* Ensure all job sheets returned to HQ correctly and within a timely manner.
* Liaise with external contractors for service centre equipment and vehicle repairs and call-outs.
* Assist with internal and external audits.
* Carry out vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles cleaned, serviced and maintained in-line with company policy.
* Ensure good housekeeping practices maintained in service centre.
* Deputise for the Service Centre Manager during periods of sickness, holiday or other prolonged absence.
* Assist with the induction and in-house training of new and existing staff within your responsibility. Carry out skills assessments of all staff completing the relevant Training Matrix.
* Organise and attend team meetings and attend national Service meetings. Also may be required to attend review meetings with customers.
* Ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to employees, service users/clients details and information obtained during the course of employment.

Essential Criteria:

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must be a team player but has the ability to work well unsupervised, manage their time and team effectively and be self motivated.
* A minimum of 2 years experience servicing and maintaining similar products such as beds, mattresses, hoists (mobile and ceiling) and bath lifts.
* Able to monitor quality of work performed by Engineers, Workshop Technicians and Laundry Technicians.
* Had experience of being a Supervisor/Manager in a previous role either permanent or temporary and managing workloads of staff.
* Flexibility and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation.

Desirable Criteria:

* Knowledge of LOLER.
* Good I.T skills.
* Any work experience gained in a similar role.
