Unique and highly rewarding, full-time private English tutor position available for 2 boys in Dubai. The family will consider a 26-40-year-old MALE CANDIDATE* with experience teaching English as a foreign language and a passion for sport. The boys are 11 and 3 years old from a Kazakh, family living in central Dubai.

*the family would only consider a MALE CANDIDATE due to their Muslim religious beliefs and requirements. This is in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

The 11-year-old has attended an American international school for the last few years and has an advanced level of English so successful candidates should be able to teach high-level English students and be able to push the sons level of verbal reasoning, conversation, debating and analytical skills to a high level. The family aim to send their son to a British public school in 2 years, after taking the 13+ exam in the UK and need him to be ready to pass through entrance exams and interviews.

The position requires a love for sport and smart appearance, to be a role model as well as a teacher for the boys. Two older brothers have been successfully tutored by Mentor and Sons teachers and the family have been clients for several years. This position is stable and ongoing, with a dual focus on:

Preparing the 11-year-old for entry into British school at the age of 13

Creating a fun and exciting program of English with the youngest brother. For the 3-year-old, this will require an enthusiasm for play and a warm and nurturing mentality, preferably with experience with younger students.

Teaching English, playing an active role in the sports activities of the 11-year-old and being an active role model is what the family expects from a suitable candidate. The tutor will be with the youngest 3 year old during the day and with the eldest brother in the evening and during the weekend.
You should approach this as a long-term teaching project (at least 1 year), with the primary objective of preparing the 11-year-old for entry into the British school system and encouraging the 3-year-old to take his first steps into learning a new language. (The 3-year-old will be preparing for a comfortable entry into UK primary)
