Our well established retail client is seeking an experienced Personnel and Training Officer to join their team. This role is office based with regular travel to branches across the UK.

You will be responsible for providing personnel support to the retail stores including organising and co-ordinating disciplinary and grievance matters, payroll, recruitment, training, compliance and other related HR issues.

Your key duties will include:

* Supporting with the recruitment process from beginning to end including shortlisting, interviewing and induction training
* Supporting managers with Disciplinary and Grievance issues, ensuring compliance with current legislation
* Checking and authorising payroll information
* Carrying out regular visits to stores to ensure compliance of personnel and health and safety procedures
* Managing absence including long term sick and maternity/paternity leave
* Supporting managers with Performance Management programmes for employees

This is an extremely fast paced, varied role so previous HR experience is essential. Whilst a background in retail is desirable, you must be used to working in a fast pace, ever changing sector.

To be considered, you must:

* Have previous HR experience across multi-sites
* Hold a full UK driving licence
* Be a strong communicator
* Be flexible in your approach

This role offers a salary of £28,000 with 21 days holiday + Bank holidays, company car, phone, laptop, clothing allowance and many other benefits!
