Main role and objectives:
As a Room Service & Mini Bar Manager at Park Plaza London Riverbank you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the operation during each serving period. Ensure the brand standards are met and maintain high standards of the operations. Together with the Guest Relations team you will ensure comfort and safety of the guests as well as the welfare of the team members.
Your responsibilities:To take full responsibility for the operation of the Room Service and Mini Bar departmentEnsure knowledge by all team members of food and beverage service techniques, all menus and specialities and promotions offered in the department and served to the right standardTo promote a helpful and professional image to the guest and give full cooperation to any guest or colleague. To strive to anticipate guests needs wherever possible and to react to these to enhance guest satisfactionTo ensure you are fully aware of in house guests numbers and groups, and be able to identify and provide breakfast packages correctlyTo have a good hotel and local knowledge, be aware of local events and competition. Understand the seasonal fluctuations to help in planning sales activities and departmental scheduledPositively promote sales awareness within the department and maximise sales opportunitiesTo put forward ideas and recommendations to the Food & Beverage Manager for improving services and developing standardsTo know all costs and sales for the department and to be fully conversant with budgeted and actual revenue and costs within the departmentTo operate the payment system (Micros) on a managerial level and produce adequate reports at the end of each shift, including handling of all payment types and ensuring all Food & Beverage items served are billed correctly, plus addressing any discrepancies directly
