Sous Chef (Herefordshire)- Job Summary

Are you an existing Sous Chef, Second Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in the Herefordshire area, with a passion and pride for ensuring guests are receiving an exceptional dining experience? Can you demonstrate the speed and technical ability to work in a fast paced kitchen that operates to the highest standards? Do you have the ambition and drive to learn and embed new skills for personal and professional growth? If you have come from a background in dining pubs, quality restaurants, hotels or a similar fine food environment then we may have a fantastic Sous Chef opportunity for you.

The company you will be working for is a beautifully restored 16th century coaching inn that is bursting with character and is known for its fresh seasonal food and a range of local ales. This fine establishment also offers private dining and bed & breakfast. You will be working with fresh local ingredients under the guidance of the Head Chef and giving your guests a genuine taste of Herefordshire. You can expect great training and support but you should also have the skill and confidence to self motivate and be a real team player.

Sous Chef- Role Responsibility

*Assisting in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
*Contribute to the production of the highest possible food quality
*Take responsibility for your designated section, ensuring the high standards are maintained
*Support the Head Chef in achieving all aspects of company standards, stock control, hygiene checks and health and safety
*Work towards the development of the menu and achieving business targets

Sous Chef- The Ideal Candidate

*At least 2 years experience at Chef De Partie level
*Experience of working within a similar fine food environment
*Passionate about ensuring guests receive an exceptional dining experience
*Demonstrates the skill and technical ability to work in a fast paced kitchen
*Has the ability to focus, multi task and communicate whilst adhering to company specifications
*Holds a high sense of importance on adhering to strict health and safety policies
*Have a good understanding of current food trends
*Is passionate about personal development and seeing the results from their own ambition and drive
*A team player with a great attitude and good communication skills
