We are looking for a Quality Checker Volunteer to join our team.

Commitment: 1-2 half-days a month
Location: Across London

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Quality Management process.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

•To have experience of receiving care or support services
•Attending Quality Audit visits across London to check services
•Interviewing Look Ahead customers and staff
•Phoning Look Ahead customers to talk about the service they receive
•Attending the training and regular Quality Checker meetings
•To liaise with and feed back to the Quality team
•A commitment of approximately 6 months
•To work within Look Ahead’s policies and procedures
•To provide a professional, friendly, reliable service; to be good at time keeping
•To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and communication skills; to be patient and a good listener

We will provide:

•Training for the role
•Expenses: Reimbursement of public transport travel expenses (including Taxicard) and a reward scheme
•Support: Guidance, supervision and feedback will be provided by the Quality Manager
•Regular learning and feedback sessions with other Quality Checkers and the Quality Manager


•No academic qualifications are required. We are looking for people who are able to use their experiences of being a customer at Look Ahead to enhance the experiences of others.
•Due to the nature of the work we do, all volunteering placements are subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks. Having a conviction or caution will not necessarily bar someone from becoming a Quality Checker Champion
