Hutton Park Care Home, a privately owned care home located in the charming Scottish seaside resort of Largs is currently looking to recruit a Deputy Manager.

Providing residential care for up to 37 residents, Hutton Park is an established home, which has been recently refurbished to an exacting standard.

Led by Manager Christina McCallum, they were delighted to receive “Very Good” Grades for the areas assessed in their last Care Inspectorate report, and are dedicated to providing an exceptional level of care and a real home from home for each of their residents.

As the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Manager in providing a home for their residents which promotes a caring environment through high standards of professional practice.

You’ll also stand-in for the Manager in their absence; deputising to ensure management cover is provided over a 7 day period. In addition to ensuring the personal care needs of residents in they are met a way which promotes dignity, privacy, safety and independence, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing their team, and assisting the Manager in the appraisal, supervision and assignment of staff.

Candidates must have at least 1 years’ experience in the management of people, and a SVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care Award or equivalent. An SVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care and Management Award, or a willingness to work towards this on completion of a successful probationary period, would be beneficial. A satisfactory DBS check also applies to this position.

This position is for 40 hours per week and the successful candidate must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required, with on-call responsibilities.
