£70 - £90 per day (depending on experience)

This mixed 4 form entry (4 classes per year group) junior school are looking for several Graduate Teaching Assistants for October 2017.

The ideal candidate will have the ambition to become a teacher and be looking to gain experience as a Teaching Assistant prior to undertaking the relevant steps needed to gain your PGCE (post graduate certificate or education)

This is a 3 term contract from October 2017 until July 2018.


Graded 'Good' by Ofsted in all areas.

The school has a number of Teachers who have started as Teaching Assistants at the school and have now successfully transitioned in teaching roles. Due to this, there is a real sense of family and community amongst the staff there.

The senior leadership team at the school are extremely supportive and bring extensive experience to help you achieve your potential.

As a junior school, you will be working with key stage 2 pupils in years 3, 4, 5 & 6 aged 7-11.

* The candidate will be supporting students across KS2.
* You will be expected to work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis, assisting in core subjects. Some students will have challenging behaviour, learning difficulties and ASD.
* As well as helping students excel you will also be required to monitor behaviour, improve social skills and liaise with senior staff.

Experience and key skills needed

* Graduate with strong background in Maths and English
* Experience working with children in a primary school setting
* A firm presence and strong behaviour management
* Professional manner, Enthusiastic, friendly, patient and determined approach
