Retail Manager for Women's Fashion Boutique London
JOB DESCRIPTION: RETAIL MANAGER
REPORTING TO: General Manager
Our client is a well-established luxury fashion brand that showcases Latin American brands with a weight towards Brazilian designers. Its expertise ranges from wholesaling, to retailing high fashion to handbags and accessories. The brand is already well established in the United Kingdom and has its flagship on one of London’s most historic and prestigious high streets, the Kings Road. In light of its continuous search for top talents, they are looking for candidates with strong retail experience, a strong knowledge of the Latin American market, and a passion for high-end fashion to join them as a retail operations manager for their flagship store.
As a Retail Manager, you will report to the Managing Director and Operations Manager and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•Oversee day-to-day retail and sales operations to enhance staff productivity and sales performance, and brand evaluation
•Supervise trends in Brazil and the rest of Latin America to ensure merchandise are on par with these trends
•Speak constantly to new and emerging brands in Latin America as well as to existing designers relaying customer feedback and growth potential
•Research trends of the Western clientele here in the UK and link it with the emerging trends of Latin America
•Train retail staff in the Brazilian fashion trends to convey to customers
•In charge of visual Merchandising of the store and teach the retail staff how to enhance the store's visual in order to appeal to customers and compete with the surrounding stores
•Work with relevant teams and coordinate new retail store promotion and marketing campaigns to enhance customer's experience
•Interview suppliers’ and brands mainly from Brazil and visit trade fairs in Brazil. Be able to communicate in Portuguese during these tradefairs, as most brands do not speak English.
•Manage Latin American based relationships and discuss revenue targets for Blaiz’s retail operations.
•May be required to translate documents and contracts from Portuguese into English
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate must have:
•Candidate must possess a diploma or degree in retail or any related field, a business related degree would be a bonus
•3-4 years of working experience in retail management for a fashion luxury brand
•Work experience in either Brazil, Argentina, Columbia or Chile
•Have a considerable Latin American database and customer base that can be tapped into
•Passion for customer service with a strong leadership ability
•Strong acumen and curiosity on the latest luxury trends in Europe but predominantly in Latin America
•Excellent command of spoken and written English, Portuguese and Spanish
