We are seeking an experienced HSSE Risk Advisor to join our team in Westhoughton.

The main purpose of the role is to be a key integral part of the HSSE Department reporting directly to the HSSE & Resilience Manager, with responsibility for all safety & security personnel and associated systems on site and for the Security Escort Group (SEG) when tasked nationally and internationally. To ensure commensurate levels of business resilience and physical security for employees/visitors, site, products and reputation of the business in line with the threat and risk profile.

Key responsibilities:

* Acting as the department lead for all Environmental, Health and Safety issues, including risk assessments, near misses and meetings.
* Supervise all safety/security personnel on site.
* Responsible for site integrated safety/security systems and management of vendor services in support.
* Develop Risk Assessments and associated formal safety and security procedures and duties ensuring only safe and compliant practices are implemented in both physical and escort security.
* Responsible for ensuring agreed service level agreement compliance of any site safety/security vendor contract and liaise with vendor management as a focal point of contact.
* Adopt sound budgetary controls over delegated spend within the department and any cost for escort duties.
* Liaise closely with other BU functions within the site to ensure synergy of work and outcomes.
* Ensure all staff that are deemed as having an increased risk to their personal security are correctly trained and protection measures are in place.
* Carry out safety & security compliance monitoring tasks and audits.
* Assist the HSSE & Resilience Manager with the planning, development and review of all physical and escort security requirements for the site and secure material movement worldwide when escorted.
* To ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up to date record of all training and development activities/programs.

Essential Criteria:

* Health & Safety trained to NEBOSH standard.
* Preferred qualifications/experience with fire/DSEAR standards
* Safety / Security and Risk Management qualification or actively working towards gaining such qualification.
* Qualified Auditor.
* Understanding of Operational Excellence.
* Computer and numerical literacy (minimum required is Outlook/Word/Excel).

Desirable Criteria:

* General security management/supervisory experience.

Additional Salary Information: Salary dependant on experience.
