Are you a Part Qualified Accountant who has always wanted to work in the not-for-profit industry? Do you have solid all round accounts experience and a proven track record in improving processes?

A progressive not-for-profit organization have an immediate requirement for a part qualified or qualified by experience Finance Manager to join their team! This is the perfect role for someone who is looking to develop their management reporting and charity accounting skills.

As the successful Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
*Reporting to the Executive Director Finance on overall finance team management , smooth financial controls are in place & financial management/reporting
*2 Finance Assistants (1x FT,1x PT) overseeing their processes and ensure protocol is followed smoothly and efficiently
*Preparation of financial information for Budget Managers and Division Heads.
*Develop financial policies and procedures and ensure they are observed.
*Play a key role in the smooth running of our annual external audit, including regular communication with external auditors.
*Carry out month end procedures to meet regular deadlines, including: Detailed reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, resolution of balance sheet reconciling items, supplier accruals preparation and submission, assist with monthly management accounts preparation (capacity permitting, and full training will be given) etc.
*Additional ad hoc responsibilities

To be the right fit for the Finance Manager you will:
*Be part qualified Accountant (AAT fully qualified, or final stage student of ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA); or qualified by lengthy experience.
*Have a minimum of 5 years all round accounts experience, including an element of staff management and team development.
*Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role (desirable).
*Be confident of carrying out balance sheet reconciliations without direction.
*Be comfortable with accruals based accounting.
*Have a proven track record of improving processes.
*Be proficient in Excel.
*Have a good working knowledge of Xero Accountancy software (desirable).
*Have knowledge and experience of charitable organisations and/or leisure and culture services (desirable).
*Good working knowledge of budgetary control and accounting procedures.
*Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

In return you will be offered a salary of £32,000 to £36,500 per annum dependent on experience. Your working hours will be Monday-Friday 08.30-17.30 with 1 hour for lunch. In addition you will also receive your pension and other benefits!
