Contract Type
We are looking for healthy participants to take part in a paid behavioural study about how the brain chemical serotonin affects how people learn, make decisions and control their actions.

The study involves computer tasks, questionnaires, mild electric shocks, and annoying noises, after you are administered either an ingestible mixture that lowers serotonin levels in the brain or a placebo mixture. You will be asked to come for a preliminary testing session of approximately one hour, and then the main testing session one day later, which lasts approximately 8 hours. You will need to fast the night before the main testing session. We will reimburse you for participation (£12.50/hour + potential bonus) and travel expenses. You must be aged 18-45.

The study is taking place at research facilities at Addenbrooke’s hospital.
