Allied Westminster are a specialist organisation who design and market insurance policies for rural communities, and are the leading provider of VillageGuard, our bespoke Village Hall insurance product with thousands of customers across the United Kingdom. Due to expansion, we seek a number of staff, not least with underwriting, claims, and policy administration experience.

JOB DETAILS: The roles are varied and interesting; the successful candidates would initially work on a variety of tasks from help with property claims, underwriting, and policy administration. We do no cold calling/selling. Successful candidates would be trained in key areas of the business, and we would seek to identify specific strengths and interests for career progression in the best departmental functions. We encourage and offer support 3rd party training, including formal financial services qualifications (for example CII - Chartered Insurance Institute).

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS: We seek experienced property insurance professionals specifically in underwriting, claims, and policy processing/administration with good communications skills. Good communicators, enthusiastic, quick to learn, ambitious, ability to work well in a team, be self-motivated, and show considerable initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS: A proven track record in property insurance within an insurance company or large brokerage, ideally with CII qualifications (although not essential).

LOCATION: Boston Spa, by WETHERBY, West Yorkshire. Our offices have a private car-park in the grounds, and are only 100 yards off Boston Spa High Street.

SALARY: £19,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.
