Located in the Olympic borough of Newham, East London this exceptional Primary School has a great reputation for supporting SEN children who have autism, dyslexia, and behavioural needs. The School has been graded has 'Outstanding' at its most recent Ofsted inspection and continues to provide a leading educational experience for all. Staff are hardworking, committed and happy. Children feel safe in the environment, make excellent progression and are well behaved. In terms of resources for SEN there are modern dedicated class rooms and teaching areas, a leading SENCO and several talented LSA's. The school is looking to appoint an SEN Teacher on a permanent basis starting in January (or as soon as possible thereafter) who will be a good fit into the dedicated SEN team.

About the Role - SEN Teacher
Working with all types of SEN student but with focus on ASD pupils across all year groups this role is an important post for helping the school to give these students the best opportunity to make progression. The successful SEN Teacher will work with the pupils on a one to one and small group basis both in mainstream class lessons and in the dedicated SEN classrooms. Working alongside the SENCO, class teacher and other SEN professionals, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting educational plans and following them through for students. Regular meetings and ongoing assessment of pupil's ability is a key part of this role. The position also comes with ongoing professional development to improve and maintain top SEN practice.
