How can I report harmful or inappropriate content on Gumtree?

Seen something suspicious? You can use the ‘report’ button that appears next to every ad to let us know. Simply click the button and select whether you’re flagging fraud, spam, an ad that goes against our posting rules, an incorrect category or a duplicate ad.

How do I report replies?

If your ad has received suspicious or inappropriate replies, you’ll need to get in contact with our Customer Support team. The team is available 24/7, 365 days a year. They’ll review the content and let you know what the next steps are.

What happens when I report content?

All reported ads are reviewed by our dedicated moderation team within four hours of flagging. They really are that speedy! And our moderation is done by humans – we don’t simply remove flagged content automatically. This approach means that content is reviewed by our experienced moderators. The team then come to a decision whether or not to remove the content based on our posting policies and community guidelines. If you flag an ad as suspicious, we don’t inform you of the decision we make, but rest assured that we look into every single report.
